What did President Bush personally know about Mark Foley and when did he know it?
When a President visits the home distict of a member of Congress, even if that member is from the other party, it is almost always the case the member of Congress is invited to come along with the President.
According to the Palm Beach Post, Oct 12, 2006, "E-mails from former U.S. Rep. Mark Foley to Gov. Jeb Bush reveal that Foley feared two years ago the White House was shunning him, and he called on the governor, President Bush's brother, to intercede."
The newspaper reports that Foley wrote to Gov. Bush on Sept. 29, 2004:
"Have I done something to offend the White House ... I am always getting the shaft ... they came to ft pierce a few weeks ago and said I was not allowed to attend ... yet joe negron is there ...
Therefore, what did the White House know two years ago that made them keep Mark Foley away from the President in public?
