I made this comment in a long thread and a reply to it requested I expand it and post it as a diary, so here goes.
I responded to a comment disagreeing that this blog is NOT "a hotbed of knee-jerk, unthinking, "echo-chamber," far-left Democrats."
Au contraire -- and by saying this I would predict I'll get a bunch of hotheaded, knee-jerk, angry, unthinking denials and be characterized as one of those Republican neo-conservative nutcakes, such as hang out at Powerline, etc.
But you see, I'm not a fan of Powerline and its followers, either.
In fact, there really are more than merely two teams in this game of politics and public affairs. There are more than the simplistic two points of view that devolve into the all too common false dichotomies favored by both left and right in this illogical and largely false exercise called blogging.
Here is another reason why I criticize this blog (and many others) and its cast of unthinking contributors: the dearth of comment when one posts serious issues that are not emotionally charged setups for rants.
