George W Bush, Dick Cheney, Rumsfeld and the others who are responsible for the USA adventure in Iraq cannot be shamed.
They don't see what they've done as a mistake.
That is because "victory" or a stable Iraq or whatever the "mission" might have been depicted as in public was and is quite beside the point, of course.
They never intended any sort of victory. Not making us safer from WMD or from terror, not by spreading democracy, not even by taking Iraqi oil.
